This study looked at ways to encourage Leicester-based African and African Caribbean men, their families and carers to seek mental ill health support prior to crisis. In particular it seeks to address the following DRE objectives: a) Less fear of mental health care services amongst BME communities and BME service users b) A reduction in the disproportionate rates of compulsory detention of BME users in inpatient units.
