This study looks at the factors that influence final year students' success in landing their first nursing job.  It found that ethnicity, the type of nursing students chose to specialise in and university attended all impacted on their odds of securing work.  Student nurses from ethnic minorities were found to feel less confident about getting a job than their white British counterparts, and found it harder to secure work by the time they qualified.
