Attitudes to sexual health and services amongst young people from the BME community
Corporate author: Ethnicity 2009
Publication date: 2009
This report was produced by a team of young researchers, who sought to explore and document the local black and minority ethnic (predominantly South Asian) community’s attitudes to sex, relationships and sexual health. Specifically, they wished to determine and understand the drivers and barriers to young people from black and minority ethnic communities accessing sexual health education and outreach services in order to inform the design and delivery of services, and address any inequalities in regards to teenage pregnancy and sexual health. They sought to involve local young people in this process.
